Jeffrey Tran, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and the founder of Stratus Eye in Suwanee, Georgia. He delivers exceptional patient care to a wide demographic in the Metro Atlanta area. As the only Vietnamese ophthalmologist in the area, he is proud to serve the community by providing complete eye care for children and adults.
Dr. Tran was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia, where he majored in biology and psychology. Following graduation, he went on to complete his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine. He received his ophthalmology residency training at the Cullen Eye Institute at the Baylor College of Medicine, one of the top residency programs in the nation.
While in training, Dr. Tran conducted extensive research in ocular trauma and macular degeneration. He also has published works in several ophthalmology journals and presented his research at conferences for the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery as well as the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
After completing his residency, he returned to Roswell, Georgia. He is currently a member of the Vietnamese American Healthcare Professionals of Georgia, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
When he’s not serving patients, Dr. Tran enjoys spending time with his family and staying active through golf, football, soccer, and marathon running. He also loves video editing and producing medical educational content on social media.
